Hello, and Welcome to the Website of the Rotary Club of Goleta Noontime!
We are a mighty little club of about 25 members who do a lot in the Goleta community. We meet weekly on Tuesdays, starting at 11:45, in the back banquet room of the Elephant Bar Restaurant in Goleta. Each week we have a short business meeting and an interesting speaker, and we then are out and back to our various work places promptly at 1:00. Please join us for fun, camaraderie, and good service to the local and international communities.
Among the programs we support with our time, funding, or both include Goleta Teen of the Year Community Service Award Program Los Prietos Boys’ Camp Scholarship Awards Goleta Valley Historical Society at Stow House Goleta Depot Goleta Lemon Festival S.B. County Food Bank Annual Goleta holiday home decorating contest Rotary Youth Exchange Program Career Day and Vocational Week at local high schools and junior high schools Rotary Youth Leadership programs Dictionaries to all Goleta 3rd grade students Graffiti removal in the community Support for international projects, such as clean water in 3rd world countries, a school for girls in India, polio eradication worldwide We build Rotary’s Fiesta float each year and decorate Rotary’s Rose Parade Float in Pasadena
Funding of the above projects comes primarily from our Annual Goleta Fireworks Event that we host jointly with the other Goleta Rotary Club. All proceeds go to the non-profits and projects we support.
We have a lot of social events too, such as potlucks, movie nights, beach parties, wine tasting. And we turn work parties into fun parties while working at Stow House and planting trees with Goleta Beautiful.
Please come to a meeting (our treat) and see what we are all about! We are proud of our diverse but close knit group and want to share the fun with you!
Yours in Rotary Service,
Connie Burns, President, 2009 - 2010 Rotary Club of Goleta Noontime RCGN, P.O. Box 164, Goleta, CA 93116 805 967 4741
